Manhattan Skyline Management Corp. Brings Yakiniku Futago to SoHo

Authentic Japanese BBQ Restaurant to Open at 341 West Broadway

 

Manhattan Skyline Management Corp., one of New York City's leading real estate organizations, has signed a lease with Yakiniku Futago, an authentic Japanese barbeque restaurant, at 341 West Broadway in SoHo. This will mark the second New York City location for the restaurant, which originated in Tokyo in 2010, and has since expanded to more than 40 locations worldwide, including Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.

 

The long-term lease is for 1,250 square-feet of ground floor space, with an additional 600 square-feet on the second floor and 200 square-feet on the mezzanine level. The restaurant will also have 25 feet of frontage on West Broadway. Joshua Roth, Vice President, Retail Leasing for Manhattan Skyline Management Corp. represented the landlord on the deal and the tenant was represented by Haz Aliessa of Tower Brokerage.

 

“Yakiniku Futago has built a strong following in New York with its unique style of tabletop cooking and its authentic menu,” said Roth. “As they continue to expand in the U.S., SoHo is the perfect place for the chain’s second location, as it brings great visibility and foot traffic and is a neighborhood known for terrific eateries.”


Regarded for its menu of top quality meats, and unique in table grills, Yakiniku Futago was first established in New York in 2015 with a location in the Flatiron District at 37 West 17th Street. Yakiniku, in Japanese, means “to barbecue,” and futago means “twins.” The owners of Yakiniku Futago – known for developing the distinctive “FUTAGO style” concept – are twin brothers and restaurateurs from Osaka, the most popular city for yakiniku in Japan. It is their aim is to spread the yakiniku culture around the world.


341 West Broadway was formerly the location of Home Sweet Home the Basque Bakery. Neighboring tenants include the Soho Grand Hotel, Kristen Farrell Jewelry, Oliver Peoples, Osswald, Felix, Sanctuary Tea, Acustom Apparel, Lucky Strike, Toad Hall, Michelle Negri, IL Mulino Prime, MAMO, and Sola Pasta Bar.
